- No characters from other anime are allowed (unless you are given permission by an admin).
- You cannot create a Fushigi Yuugi character without approval by the staff. Granted as far as the Byakko Seishi are concerned there will be a LOT of creativity involved. If you are interested in those characters, talk to one of the admins or moderators.
- If you want to post links to Fushigi Yuugi scanlations from other groups, do so at your own risk.
- If you're here, you should be interacting with at least one Fushigi Yuugi characters or somehow interacting with people on the board. Lurking is fine but if you never post, it's a bit suspicious why you're here if you're never involved. If your account remains unactive for a month without prior notice to an absence, it will be deleted and you will have to create a new one.
- Don't complain about who's online. Some cast members have more free time than others. That's life.
- No multiple accounts. If you have a sibling, cousin, friend, llama, whatever that wants to be on the board, they should have an email address of their own. Staff can see your email address and IP, so we know if you have multiple accounts.
- If you're having problems with a member in general or you think a cast member is too out of character, let a staff member know.
- Post things in the proper area of the board. We have different sections of the board for a reason. Don't ignore them. It frustrates everyone.
- Post links to other proboards in the section for that and other websites in the section for that. Keeping your proboard or website linked in your profile is fine but do not spam the board with the link.
- Keep your personal life separate from the life you have on the board. If you're having a bad day, it's not our fault. The reason we have the board is to have fun, not to complain about how bad life is.
- The board is not a dating service. While some people find it acceptable to have online dating, we do not want it going on on the board. If you're dating someone on the message board, keep it to yourselves. If this person happens to be a "serial-I-want-to date-people-all-over-the-Internet-jerk", it;s not out fault and all members of this idiocy will be banned.
- Pay attention to the terms of service. "You will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only humorous, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum."
- You're responsible for knowing what changes are taking place even if you are not on the board every day. We have an announcement section for a reason. Check it to see what changes you missed.
- Try not to use net speak. Use standard English. We do not like to read jumbled sentences and questionable words. Spelling errors are fine, but you should try and use spell check if you frequently misspell words that are not common spelling errors.
- There is no reason to double post; a high post count does not earn you anything here, there is a modify button to edit previous posts should you forget anything, and multiple quotes can be used within a single post. Double posts clog up topics, and are a nuisance to read through. Please respect fellow members of the community and refrain from doing this please.
- To become a Seishi or other cast member, you have to meet certain expectations and fit the character well. So we ask that you send an application to our email address for it to be reviewed. If you notify a staff member it will likely happen faster. Like RPG profiles, we will be weeding out the people who cannot follow directions or make their character too strong. (Check the FAQ for more information).
- When in doubt ask questions. If they are about specific people bring it to PMs. If they're general questions about the board, feel free to make a thread in the FAQ section where it will be answered by a staff member.
- Be respectful of others. The age of people on the board varies. If someone doesn't understand something and it is the first time they're doing this help them out. If you don't understand something, ask. But do not be rude because you don't understand.
- The maximum signature size is 675 X 370. Less than that is fine, more will result in it being deleted. Any signature that can be considered a violation of the rules or offensive, obnoxious, or questionable can be deleted by a staff member.
- You are encouraged to interact with characters from the series. Ask them questions, but don't harass. No one likes a stalker.
- Be polite and treat others with respect unless they deserve to be flamed.
- Keep it clean. Cursing is fine, but don't make it so offensive that even I would want to wash your mouth with soap.
- We don't care if you post links to illegal materials like fansubs and scanlations for other manga. Most of us are pirates already so it really doesn't matter. The only exception is movies covered under the MPAA and similar organizations. If you don't know how or where to download torrents of such movies already, then shame on you. Go do some research.
- You MUST be over the age of 13 to be a member of this board. It's part of the User Agreement. Those who join who are under 13 will be banned.
